Hello John:Mogas On Field- Nampa KMAN -
Discussion at Airport Commissions Meeting
When: Monday Oct 13th, 5:30PM
Location: MAF - 112 North Pilatus Lane
For many pilots, having easy access to mogas would be a huge benefit. If you have a bird that can take or even seems to prefer mogas, there is a meeting where your support may help Nampa get an onsite mogas pump. This could mean no more packing gas cans around, fewer hassles, and arguably safer operations. If you'd like to support this effort, please attend the Airport Commission meeting. It is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for comments from attendees. Even if you don't speak, if there is a good turnout, head nodding, and maybe a few cheers at the appropriate moment, that will help.
Note: The goal is to get mogas at 91 AKI. Many mogas users need 91 AKI and cannot use lower octane. As a reminder it is perfectly fine to run higher octane than needed, but not OK to run lower octane than needed so generally when an airport puts mogas on the field, they go with the 91 AKI.
